The history of Matson Sales Group

In 1996, Matt Weinberg began as a sales representative at Almist Sales. He quickly got his feet wet by driving to each account, meeting the owners of specialty stores, from pool stores and surf shops to toy stores, from Cape Cod, MA to Ocean City, MD. Creating and maintaining a great relationship is something that he is most proud of. Matt's hard work paid off.

In 1993, Jason Kovler started working at Toys... the Store in Princeton, NJ. Immediately, he was hooked on the toy business. After five years working in retail Jason decided to move on and became a sales representative. In 1999, Almist Sales was in need for a new sales representative. Matt instantly thought of Jason. He started at Almist as a specialty toy store and pool store representative covering six states. Jason then progressed to managing online accounts.

In 2013, Matson Sales Group was formed. Matt Weinberg and Jason Kovler joined forces to create Matson Sales Group. Matson Sales Group represents companies that make fun, creative and innovative products. Matt and Jason have built a dynamic team, a collaborative force of experienced and dedicated professionals. The Matson Sales Group team works together to provide tailored solutions and deliver exceptional results. 

Matt and Jason not only have a wonderful work relationship, but they are also great friends. Not only do they have a great friendship but they also have a great amount of respect for each other.  Both Jason and Matt have grown their account bases to now calling on the premier retailers in the United States.

Matt and Jason pride themselves on learning from the "great ones" in this business. It's those "great ones" that have helped form and shape who they are today. For that, they are extremely grateful. From hand writing orders and paper maps of yesterday, to smartphones and gps of today, Matson Sales Group is excited to see where tomorrow brings us!
